My Classic British TV Memories

I remember a great kids television series called Willow The Whisp. It was narrated by the brilliant Kenneth Williams and he was perfect for the job. There was a total of 52 episodes and it was first shown in 1981. My favourite character was the rather plump fairy called Mavis Cruet. Arthur the miserable caterpillar and the rather irate TV set Evil Edna also featured in the show. In fact, Evil Edna was the inspiration for our logo.

Can you believe that Coronation Street has been around since the 1960s? With characters such as Hilda Ogden and Albert Tatlock, it was bound to be a huge success. I also remember that the soap opera Emmerdale used to be called Emmerdale Farm. Seth Armstrong and Molly Sugden are two of the characters that I remember the best.

The comedy Bottom with Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson is definitely one of the best comedies ever made. It features flatmates Richie Rich and Edward Hitler the Hammersmith Hardmen. If you are a fan you should try The Bottom Quiz.
